Southern Maryland Paintball uses top-quality GellyBall Blasters, bringing all the excitement of paintball with none of the sting! These easy-to-use blasters shoot soft gel balls—similar to Orbeez—that bounce off players or disintegrate on impact, leaving no stains, no mess, and no pain.
Unlike Nerf guns, where players constantly scramble for ammo, a GellyBall Blaster holds 750 shots per load—just aim, pull the trigger, and keep the action going! Even kids as young as four can easily join in the fun.

Rules for Playing GellyBall at SMP
Masks must be worn at all times in the playing area.
- If you remove your mask, you’ll receive one warning and must sit out a game.

What ammo does a GellyBall Blaster use?
GellyBall Blasters use GellyBalls, which are similar to Orbeez. These tiny, water-absorbent polymer beads expand when soaked and are biodegradable and non-toxic, making them safe for the environment. Unlike paintballs, which explode on impact, GellyBalls either bounce off or disintegrate and then dehydrate—leaving no stains and no mess!

What items should I bring?
Summer: Bug spray and sunscreen are essential. Apply bug spray before playing, but avoid spraying near goggles as it can damage lenses and plastic equipment.
Winter: Lip balm and warm gloves are a must.
Since this is an outdoor activity, dress accordingly for the weather.
Does it hurt?
No! GellyBall Blasters use very low pressure, so getting hit feels like a light snap of a rubber band. But once you’re in the game, you’ll be having so much fun, you won’t even notice!
